Nomination Forms for Preble District Awards PDF Print E-mail

Nominate deserving Preble District adult and youth Scouters in your units for awards that will be presented during the Preble District dinner on March 27th.  Attached are the award details and nomination forms for the Cornerstone, Preble Trail, Founder's Spirit, and District Award of Merit for adults, as well as forms for the youth awards - the Outstanding Cub Scout and Boy Scout in your unit.  All completed forms need to be turned in by March Round Table (March 3rd) to Linda Appledorn.  Linda will also need to know the names of the Religious Knot and Arrow of Light recipients for your unit by March 3rd.  Contact Linda at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Preble District Awards Dinner PDF Print E-mail

The 2010 Annual Preble District Awards Dinner will be held on Saturday, March 27, at the Eaton First Church of God (East Ave. and Lexington Road).  We will gather at 5:30 pm with dinner at 6:00 pm.  Cost is $3 per person; meal provided.  Each unit should bring their flag and post, as well as a door prize.  The theme is the 100th Anniversary Celebration.  See flier for more details.

National Boy Scouts of America Unveils New Web - Site PDF Print E-mail

The National Boy Scouts of America unveiled its new web-site a little over a week ago with huge success. The site offers better navigation, quicker response time, and easier access to MyScouting. They are still working out all the bugs, but it promises to be a great asset. The apparent bug with Internet Explorer 7 and MyScouting, in the former website appears to be fixed.

On Friday, May 22nd, 2009 National Boy Scouts of America announced their 2 millionth Eagle Scout. Anthony T. from Minnesota now carries not only the distinction of being an Eagle Scout, but also carries the honor of being the two millionth scout to achieve the rank. All of the folks from PrebleDistict.com send their heartfelt congratulations to Anthony and his family!

The web team is ready to help you get started posting your Crew, Pack, and Troop Events. Please have the Scoutmaster, Cubmaster, or Crew Leader e-mail us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or call Chris Dale at 937-696-2007 and include the following information. 

  1. The First and Last name of the content manager for your unit.  This person will have the only login for the site from your unit and will be the only one authorized to post data from your unit.
  2. The e-mail address for the content manager. This is used only to send login information and send automated e-mail from the site concerning password if it is forgotten and the Password recovery function is requested.
  3. If you have you own Troop, Pack, or Crew website and would like us to link to that site the web address is required. This linking may not be possible in all cases, due to “National BSA Policies and Guidelines”.
